This online seminar involves a range of contributions on the problems and potential of literary translation from and into South African languages. Literary translators, academics, publishers, agents and authors shed a stronger light on this creative activity within the South African literary market. In addition to introducing translators as behind-the-scenes personalities, the essays, interviews and opinion pieces provide a sense of the industry’s current state. In the words of Leon de Kock, “once more, with feeling”.
